All about Change Management - Presentation by Escient

Really enjoyed tuning into a talk today by escient on Change Management — a concept I had heard of but didn’t fully understand until now.

The presentation, hosted by Allison Campbell and Simone Osmers-Landau , offered such a thoughtful and grounded introduction to how change is implemented within organisations. I really appreciated the focus on ensuring smooth transitions while maintaining productivity and supporting staff wellbeing — a balance that’s so important but often overlooked.

Alli and Sim were not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also empathetic, curious, and authentic in the way they shared their own career journeys — transitioning from the medical and government sectors into change consulting. As someone whose own career timeline has been far from linear, it was both comforting and inspiring to hear their stories.

I especially valued their response to my question about supporting neurodivergent clients through change. Their answer was nuanced, genuine, and reflected a clear respect for individual experiences. It meant a lot.

As I continue to explore where I want to head after I graduate, sessions like this are incredibly valuable for gaining clarity on what roles like change management consulting actually involve — and how diverse and rewarding this work can be.
Would love to see more sessions diving into other consulting areas as well — and I’m already looking forward to the next one. 🙌
